国际抗生素耐药性大会在英国召开

据英国食品标准署消息，11月29日英国食品标准署发布消息称，29日国际抗生素耐药性（AMR ）大会在英国召开，英国、美国与澳大利亚主持了会议，讨论了抗生素耐药性问题。

当微生物对抗感染的药物产生抗性时便产生了抗生素耐药性问题。这意味着抗感染的抗生素不再有效。

英国食品标准署表示，抗生素耐药性问题对全球公共卫生构成威胁。英国食品标准署一直以来，同国际组织、他国政府以及食品生产商一道，减少抗生素在产肉动物身上的使用。

Heather Hancock， the Chair of the Food Standards Agency， today opened the meeting of the Codex Alimentarius working group on Antimicrobial Resistance （AMR） in London. Codex Alimentarius is the global food standards body and the meeting， chaired by the UK， USA and Australia， has been organised to progress international efforts to tackle AMR.

AMR is a significant increasing threat to public health across the world. As part of the FSA’s commitment to protecting consumers， it is working with international partners， other Government departments， and food producers， to reduce the use of antimicrobials in food producing animals.
